Lack of frogs indicates too much building and destruction of wild habitats. An abundance of them is a sign of a balanced environment. I’ve seen this over the 56 years of my life.
Where I live now we have lots of frogs and I love ‘em. I’m always watching out for them when I mow the lawn.

Did you try diatomaceous earth? I use it in garden for bad bugs.
And they make nice sounds in the early spring. I remember vividly from my childhood, peepers we called them.
