EVA Air is the same company.
Last night I was thinking what would happen if a terror group or even China or Iran blew up some ships in the Suez and Panama Canals at the same time.
Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.
This was a deliberate event.

Dan Scavino has been tweeting a pic of a boat in a harbor and captioned watch the water. I’m hearing they are going to start opening up containers on the Ever Given with the expectation of finding children.
Our current carriers cannot fit in the Panama Canal so that is a non issue.

One is the name of the ship and the other is the name of the shipping company.

I was confused too but the shipping company is Evergreen, the name of the vessel is apparently Ever Given. I should have known. Having the company name on the side is very common.
On the bow, in smaller letters, it says "Evergiven".
Maybe Evergreen in another language?
My understanding is the old part of the Suez Canal is being used to route traffic. Granted, larger ships like the one that’s jammed can’t get through but both channels would have to be disabled to be effective.
The ship is owned by the Evergreen Marine Corp, a Taiwanese container transportation and shipping company that owns 39 shipping vessels. Of its large fleet of ships, 20 are named in the format of “Ever” + [a word that begins with a G]. Other ships owned by Evergreen Marine include the “Ever Goods,” “Ever Gaining,” and the “Ever Giant.”
