Hubby got the $600 check in the mail. I thought it strange, because we both have direct deposit of Soc. Sec. I never got a check, or a deposit. Will be claiming the 600 bucks off the taxes we owe-which I don’t pay until the due date.
Yes, it looks like that is the way they want us to deal with it. Since I don't file taxes - being a pauper - I had to pay to file electronically... if I just filed and obtained the correct forms to just receive $600 no telling when, if ever, I would receive that payment.
The kicker is that they sent me a notice of issuance of a direct deposit but then added that if I did not receive the direct deposit within seven days I would have to file a return in order to get it. With all these new stim payments being processed I figured that if I didn't file electronically I would not get the payment before the twelfth of never... maybe not even then.
If they issued a direct deposit where did it go? No way of knowing... just file to get what almost everyone got automatically for free. Ptui!
