MLB Players Association executive director Tony Clark said players are ready to discuss moving the summer's All-Star game out of Atlanta after the state legislature passed an election reform bill restricting voter access, the Boston Globe reported.
The 91st MLB All-Star game is scheduled for the Atlanta Braves' Truist Park on July 13 and they're planning to have full capacity.
"Among highlights, the bill would require a photo ID in order to vote absentee by mail, after more than 1.3 million Georgia voters used that option during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also would cut the time period people have to request an absentee ballot and limit where ballot drop boxes can be placed and when they can be accessed."
"One of the biggest changes in the bill would give the GOP-controlled legislature more control over election administration, a change that has raised concerns among voting rights groups that it could lead to greater partisan influence.

Who cares about the tantrums thrown by some immature athletes? This is a legal measure which obviously was badly needed, and if the athletic association doesn’t like it, they can kiss my cat’s cute butt.
#37. You raise a great point about Atlanta and Mrs. Octopus wig head (Abrams) being hurt if the ASGame is taken out of there.
Republican politicians, if they are smart, would blame her for losing the game and all the jobs/money associated with it that would actually benefit “the Black People” she is so concerned about (NOT).
Hopefully Sen. Warnock will be indicted for sexual assault and there is something cooking with Sen. Comrade Ossoff and his finances or financing.
Let’s make it a “TRIPLE” - Warnock and Abrams go to jail while Ossoff is thrown out of Congress for professional misconduct/financial chicanery.
Singing “Oh Atlanta”!
I used to be a fan of MLB, but since it entered politics I don’t watch any more.
I agree. I'm so done with professional sports, and many more people are jumping on the same bandwagon. Far as I'm concerned, let them leave GA, I couldn't care less.
As if I needed another reason not to watch MLB.
If I want to be lectured I'll watch a speech by Bella Pelosi.
In fact, I’ve switched to Cricket.
LOL. They are hardly any black American players left in MLB. No way the baseball care about this law.
The stadium can’t sell beer to those the MLB Players Association pretend to defend...
It’s not even the league, it’s the union. But if the league caves, which I’m sure they will, I don’t need to watch baseball either, just like I’ll never watch the NBA again.
And really, Inter-League Play has rendered the All-Star Game meaningless.
“Well... bye.”
My attitude also. The quality of my life did not suffer at all with no professional football. In fact, I have more productive free time.
Live sports were carrying the load for the rest of broadcast and cable television but can't carry it any more.
I gave it up in ‘94 when they went on strike. I never went back and I was the biggest baseball fan ever.
first of all, it’s not up the union. second there is a contract place. third, this is another extortion bluff.
fourth, no one cares if you cut the cord, or if you are done with mlb.
Yawn...
Who cares?
Just do not play...
Or get a flipping COVID shot!!!
This is all part of the lefts plan to turn the population gay by making them watch soccer, so they can import democrat voters when the locals stop breeding
