Remember a few years ago the NBA pulled the All Star Game from Charlotte, because at the time NC had some law which allegedly “discriminated” against transsexual peoples?

And remember the time the NFL pulled the Super Bowl out of Phoenix, because Arizona at the time didn’t have a state holiday for Martin Luther King?

I’m sure in both of those cases, there were contracts in place which were violated by the leagues so they could make their political statement. Baseball may well follow along, in order to lose money and get sued to make a political statement. It wouldn’t be the first time a sports league did so.
