Trump Considers Starting A Social Media Site; Twitter, Facebook Weigh Allowing Trump Back
Former U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly mulling the possibility of starting his own social media platform as Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) and Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) consider whether to allow Trump to return to their platforms.
What Happened: Twitter permanently banned Trump from its site while Facebook issued an indefinite suspension from the Facebook and Instagram platforms after the Jan. 6 riot on Capitol Hill, making him the first world leader to be barred from social media.
Trump senior advisor Jason Miller told Fox News that Trump is reviewing proposals to launch a social media endeavor of his own.

After they snake his moves for a year they let him back when it no longer matters? Screw that. Start your own site President Trump. Not only will it attract American patriots, it will attract the worldwide groups of people resisting globalism.
Trump should keep his cards really close to his chest at this point and move carefully with whatever project he is planning.
Alt-Twitter isn’t built in a day, and would take substantial infrastructure.
We’re talking losing serious money without sufficient investment.
Facebook and Twitter make their money by selling identity in a liberal dominated information exchange. I don’t want Donald to go bankrupt on some project like this without serious considerations about how to make a platform viable.
They’ve already banned him, a whole large number of them.
Why not if he wants to be able to have a place he can use to communicate without concern that whoever hes curently using will ban him?
The pressure on any site that allows him, or lets him back, willbe enormos to ban him.
Besides we can use a site that is not a societal censor, a self appointed determiner of truth and falsehood, that no one ever who has signed up for those sites ever wanted them to be their personal conscience or decider of what they can and cannot post.
Oh heck no.

And I hope the site allows conservative businesses to advertise so we can have a counter economy.

I deleted my Facebook many years ago. I deleted my Twitter account the day they shut down President Trump’s account. I deleted my Parler account when I learned they weren’t encrypting users identification data and that data was breached. I deleted my Gab account when they couldn’t keep operating successfully enough warrant having an account there. I’ll never go back to any of these sites, even if President Trump goes back. I would be surprised if he ever does.
For Republic is entirely supported by contributions but we Freepers are a very small minority consisting of well informed conservative patriots. I think that President Trump should charge a fee to be able to post on his new social media platform. This will keep out most people who just want to be disruptive. They probably will not want to pay. They would still be able to read it; just not be able to post their nasty comments on what others post.
This is one media site I would gladly pay to use every month. Free Republic is the other.
