By the same principle, wouldn’t a warmer earth create more water vapor (and cooling rain) in the atmosphere by evaporation...accomplishing the same thing or better than spraying chalk?

We're actually in a cooler than average period considering the history of the planet.
And life is still here.
If they want the planet to get back to normal, they are going to need to warm it up some, not turn it into a giant popsicle.
And really, don't all these climate hysterists believe in evolution, too? Don't they think that life will adapt to the new warmer conditions?
For me, I'd be happy to see less snow, a longer growing season, and lower heating bills.
Only problem with that is the fact that water vapor is the most abundant greenhouse gas.
You are describing the stable climate of Earth, how quaint.
That is the primary reason the Earth has any temperature stability at all. By far, the most influential "green house gas" is water vapor. But studies conveniently ignore that fact and focus on materials (carbon) that have a much smaller impact.
REAL scientists are amazed that the Earth's temperature is as stable as it is.
Come to think of it, why is it bad that we throw carbon in the air and good when we throw chalk?
