> pay by mile tax

I used to travel 100 miles or more every day for years. They talked about it here in (M)assachusetts every so often but it would never pass.

I now travel zero miles for work and even when this bovine scatology is over I will still travel zero miles to work. I thrive in a remote work environment.

That said this is bad. It needs to be fought and hard. If it can’t be passed in MA with an overwhelming Democrat legislature it shouldn’t be possible at the federal level.

The people that get hurt the worst are already suffering the worst. A 100 mile commute both ways sucks. Now you’re going to make them pay even more?

I could go on and on about this subject but I’ll spare everyone.

retired now since Nov...but when I did work it was 25 miles going and coming...not bad, but it adds up....

"taking a drive in the country" is a long tradition for Americans....

not every American can own a lake cabin, or go on cruises, or fly everywhere for a vacation....

I remember as a working class family one of our best adventures is for Dad to drive us up to the airport, maybe get an ice cream on the way home....back in the day, you could walk right in and stand by the fence to watch the planes...

I'll never forget the old America...
