Francois Khalil, then 20, picked up an intoxicated woman outside a Dinkytown bar in 2017, took her back to a North Minneapolis home and raped her after she passed out on a couch, the woman testified, according to court records. A Hennepin County jury in 2019 convicted him of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Paul Thissen wrote, that attorneys for both sides agree the facts of the case constitute a crime, but a less serious one: fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct, a gross misdemeanor, which carries lighter penalties. Prosecutors did not try Khalil on that charge but now could look to recharge him.

Let's expand our thinking, using that logic.

Having sex with a ten year old child is a 5th degree gross misdemeanor (citable offense) because the child voluntarily did not have enough birthdays.

The whole idea behind age requirements for consenting to sex is that the child is not old enough to make the proper decision and cannot give consent legally.

The drunk chick also could not give informed consent, being drunk off her a word. 'Rape' and 'assault' are two vastly different things, which is why two separate words were originally coined.

This is one time I would be on the side of the crazy and evil so-called 'feminists'. Btw, where are they on this, the inconsistent hypocritical mutants.

This ruling is an abomination and an assault on the civilized world. We as a people had worked so long and for thousands of years to create as perfect and safe a society as we could up to this point and the animals are tearing it down brick by brick.

Off topic sort of, but in my mother in law’s hope chest were crammed 75 first section newspapers dating back to the late 30’s. Fascinating.

One paper, Detroit Free Press, the headline was (not verbatim) Kennedy Secretary Drowns after numerous futile attempts by senator.

So that’s probably what they are thinking, no big deal, I’ll get away with it.
