It would seem this condition for first degree murder would apply.

(x) the defendant acted in an especially cruel and wanton manner pursuant to a course of conduct intended to inflict and inflicting torture upon the victim prior to the victim’s death. As used in this subparagraph, “torture” means the intentional and depraved infliction of extreme physical pain; “depraved” means the defendant relished the infliction of extreme physical pain upon the victim evidencing debasement or perversion or that the defendant evidenced a sense of pleasure in the infliction of extreme physical pain;

But, I guess since their victim is dead, they will go on the testimony of the perpetrators.

Now how is this harmless guy's death somehow of less importance, consequence and well-deserved fury than that of a filthy, miserable, dumbass drug addict who breathes his last on the street?

Is it precisely that this filthy, useless, stinking drug addict who at the very least had a chickenshit gallery nearby that could have, if it wasn't as filthy, useless, and drugged out as he was, stepped in to aid and comfort him.
