I can’t believe that there was no plan for a person who would take over for Rush. He announced his terminal illness a year ago.

I can't believe it either. You would think Rush himself had some sort of replacement in mind. Maybe he just wanted the show to end for good once he passed away?

I miss him every day. As others have said, when I hear his opening music now, it makes me sad.

Alexander The Great did not have a successor in mind either. On his deathbed, when asked ‘Who shall lead?’ Alexander said ‘to the strongest’.

Rush never took the mantle of kingmaker, otherwise he would have run for public office himself. Rush Limbaugh made his own way in life, he told us that over and over, he was self made. His own father thought his career in radio was foolish and futile. Rush isn’t the type of guy to give success to someone. You have to carve your own path.
