Fair enough.

I will start out by discussing the dream I had for the meetup. Bear in mind, I thought perhaps as many as 20 people from this thread would attend. But that was when I thought things were going to be different- happier and more settled - not only in June but far enough in advance of June that people would be excited to attend and would be making hard plans to do so.

The longer we go with things still being, let’s just say, “ambiguous,” the more this is going to cut down on attendance.

So, anyway, this was my dream:

I thought we could spend a big chunk of Saturday together and a few hours on Sunday.

I had a cool guessing game/icebreaker planned that would require us to move about in the room, mingling with each other, guessing who we are, and then introducing ourselves.

I thought people could do some presentations on things that they know about and would be helpful to people, such as html and navigating the digital space, political organizing, natural health, etc.

I thought a few of the originals could do a panel discussion thing on the the history of this thread and where to go from here.

I thought we could have a friendly game of something— darts, cornhole, canasta tournament, whatever, comprised of cats versus other animals, colors versus sizes, etc. based on screennames.

I thought we could have some sort of dinner or barbecue thing where we bring in the people we traveled with.

I thought we could do some sort of interfaith prayer bible discussion thing on Sunday.

I thought we could have someone from the area come in and talk about its history.

I thought someone could do some sort of educational Jeopardy-type game with questions about Q stuff.

If the group were big enough and the space were right, I thought there might be some block of time when two things could go on simultaneously in different rooms and people choose which is more interesting to them.

I thought perhaps some people would be up for wine tasting of the local wines along with some they brought from their state.

I even though maybe someone like Redpill would be interested in doing some sort of live Zoom show with us and a few of us would be up to interacting with him.

I even thought maybe someone of note who knew about our thread and was impressed with it might make a surprise appearance.

And there would be some “free time” for just hanging out.

These are just some things I kind of brainstormed. Certainly if people didn’t like some and had suggestions for cool things I had not thought of that people liked better we would do those.

So that was my dream.

But now, I don’t think it will work. I think if we have under ten people it will be more of a happy hour thing, which can be fine. Maybe something where we hang out and talk to each other for a couple of hours and then bring in the people we came with and have dinner together. Maybe while they are talking we have a place for them to hang out with each other.

Between 10-20 people, I guess maybe sort of like a luncheon or early dinner barbecue type thing with perhaps a couple people who might have ideas for guided discussions they can lead, a lot of mingling, some cornhole or darts, and time to bring in our traveling partners if that is what they want to do. Maybe bring in a guest speaker on something or other if you know an interesting person who would be interested in talking to us.

I hope that helps.

There seems to be a very strong emphasis on cornhole.
