They also might want to consider pairing up Joe Force One with some kind of human catapult, or human slingshot, which would be able to fling the mumbling stumble-bum directly up to the plane, bypassing all stairs.
(They might have to practice a bit, to tweak the aiming capacity, just a tad.)
