You’re a very loving wife. Your husband is lucky.
Thanks. We do fine as long as I stay healthy. He’s 16 years older than me so we planned for that but covid is an unexpected wrinkle. He has short term memory issues from a closedhead frontal lobe brain injury after a bad wreck 20 years ago so he has good days and bad days. He still sundowns at times. He’s able to drive close to home where things move slower but I had to put a GPS tracker on his truck in case he has a memory lapse and gets lost. We can find him with that but its rare thing. Driving gives him some independence and he actually drives good if he stays out of heavy traffic. In that case I insist on driving. His biggest problem is remembering if he ate, got the mail, and he can’t learn new things. I’ve been trying to teach him how to use the new microwave for two years and he still can’t do it. Stuff like that. As long as I’m around to do the little things, pay bills, feed dogs, make sure the stove is off when he cooks, etc. we are fine.
I don’t usually go into all of that but I want people to know why some of us are extra careful with this virus.
