The situation was such that too many people were very scared of covid-19, due to media telling lies, and Trump did not do “I feel your pain” thing like Billy Jeff. Instead Trump bragged about how quickly recovered from covid-19 infection. While he was exactly right, that is not what the unwashed masses wanted to hear. The result was many voters, including some people I know, decided Trump did not care enough about their lives.
President Trump was never a smooth talking career politician. Ronald Reagan would have handled covid-19 public relation more smoothly.
