Prosecutors, and defense attorneys if their client is guilty, don’t want smart independent thinkers who can separate out the facts from the bullshit.
You’re not by chance looking to hire a summer intern?
When I lived in Florida I was called for jury duty 8 times while my wife and most of my neighbors were never called. This has to do with the extremely ludacris way that Florida chooses jury pools. Which I will not go into now.
I was called one time on a medical malpractice suit. When questioned I told the judge and the attorney that I believed that both the insurance company and the hospital could be trusted. I told him I felt this way because of the way I have been taken to the cleaners by insurance companies and hospitals. I clearly stated that I would never believe a single word that the hospital or the insurance companies uttered.
I was stunned at how hard that judge worked to get me to say that I could still sit on the jury and be unbiased. He finally let me go, but it was an astounding experience to say the least.
“I was called for Jury Duty once and I wore a Field Jacket and D’oh I was told no thanks Bye ,LOL”
Lost your chance to do good.
I served on a jury where the other smart guy had done a tour in the Israeli Defense Force (SpecOps).
We were the only jury members who noticed the oversized shirt (to hide the perp’s buffed-out muscles), the glasses that had no lens correction (to make him seem bookish, not threatening), and who knew enough about trauma/stress under fire to be able to explain the victim’s actions.
Result: Our experiences/observations resulted in a guilty verdict with imprisonment when the other 10 jury members, weak sisters all, would have let a dangerous predator go free.
Only three people that one has to mistrust in a court room.
The judge, the prosecutor and the defense attorney, and maybe to a lesser extent the jury. From what I have seen lately n the verdicts I can only assume that they assume that the trial is but a game they play amongst themselves.
The victim is the lowest quantity on their list.
Very tough to get a perpetrator sentenced properly. Plea deals and minimum sentencing run the gambit.
Hmm. I just tried to follow him and his account has been suspended.
oops, I just searched on his last name. He is still there
@JackPosobiec
Yep...
LOL!
He brings a lot to the table, has been exposing hard evidence for quite some time. Post a link to some of your investigative work so we can all enlighten ourselves.
They’ll convict just for his surname
Chauvin

Does not apply to Cuomo who is an actual chauvinistic pig; cuz he a dem
I worked in NY State prisons, in uniform. During that 25 years, we were exempt from being called for jury duty. That changed sometime after I retired in 2003. Since then I got called once, but had my doctor provide me with a note excusing me. Never got called again.
My youngest son, now 50, got called once for jury duty, several years ago. They asked him if there was a reason he wouldn't be able to be impartial. He said "Yeah...my mother's a Correctional Sergeant." They sent him home.
Wasn't he attacked in D.C. last summer while trying to cover the riots?
What many people don’t realize is that their defense attorney may not be working on their best interests.
Who wants to bet me that the entire family will be broke within 10 years??? 27 million is a bigger drug than Fentynal.
5 years!!!
They’ll riot either way but I get your point.
Boss told me a funny story.
He was asked to report for jury duty.
The whole company was nervous about losing him to jury duty for (???) months
Went to jury selection.
Judge stated, in less than normal voice volume, “If you cannot hear me make this statement, raise your hand and go home”
My boss, a very quick thinker, raised his hand.
The judge pointed at him and allowed him to go home!
Old geezer, sitting next to my boss, started to protest “What’s going on , what did he say”?
Judge points at old guy and sends him home.
Old geezer got really pissed cause cause he had nothing lined up for a few months
Veterans are hated by the Minnecraponus leftist establishment - unless they are the likes of Bradley Manning (HIS name is BRADLEY!). There is a view among some that any veteran should be prohibited from participating in the political process, even prohibited from voting.
Lawyers strike prospective jurors all the time. Why is this an issue?
I sat through jury selection for a federal grand jury in January; wasn’t chosen. People were not selected for all kinds of reasons.
