I got eliminated from jury duty on a high profile case (Rusty Hardin was the defense attorney) since I had a few friends in Houston Police Department and the Harris County Prosecutor’s Office. I saw some HPD officers regularly at the range, and one of the prosecutors was in the same Bible study.
Sniping from the nursing home is about as much that can be expected.
You are so out of touch it’s sad. Dementia is tough on the people around you.
At least one prospective juror was honest and said he would fear for his and his family’s safety if he served as the names of the jurors would certainly be leaked and make them subject to harassment by BLM. He was dismissed.
LOL, funny response then I read who I actually responded too and it was even funnier.
One of the first times I got called for jury duty, it was for a grand jury. I was named foreman by the judge. We heard 125 cases that month and almost all cases were indictments, as the defendants are not represented by a lawyer. Every jury call I ever got after that, I was automatically excluded because of the grand jury foreman thing. Grand juries think every case involves a guilty party, thus if a defendant is on trial in a real court case, a former grand juror thinks the defendant must be guilty.
