During the Spanish flu they used between 8 to 31.2 g aspirin per day. 9 g per day is toxic which makes you hyperventilate. They over medicated. Aspirin first produced in tablets a short time before this. They didn't know the proper dosage. What is interesting about this how one doctor influences many doctors when none of them knew what was to much.
