Yes, this is a vanity, because in these times we all need a break, and thats why I come here sometimes. So...who do you choose?
That would be circa 1980.
Tina Turner Live - Hollywood Nights

Zeppelin around 74-75
A KISS show from 76-77
Slayer on the Reign in Blood tour
Iron Maiden Powerslave tour
Sabbath 1973
Mercyful Fate 1983-1984
and too many others
Meatloaf
~~~
Good one!
Also I’d like to add add a vote tally to early years Zeppelin.
Adding another one, Prince.
Lynard Skynard
Led Zeppelin
Frank Zappa w/Ruth Underwood and George Duke
mid 70’s
Although I saw this tour already I would go back and see Van Halen in 1981 on the Fair Warning tour. I would also like to go back and see Stevie Ray Vaughan on the Soul to Soul tour (which I also saw).
My holy grail for bands I didn’t see would be Led Zeppelin in the early 70’s. I am very jealous of my older brother who saw Zep at a festival in Germany when he was there in the Army in 1972. My sister saw the Stones live in 1969. I also hold some jealousy over that experience.
At this point I would be ecstatic to see any live music. My last two shows were at the end of February last year. Kiss/David Lee Roth and Zac Brown Band five days apart. Hopefully this summer there will be some shows to go to.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra. I can “see” most rock acts live via video but to experience a big band concert in person would bring that era to life.
I’ve seen them several times but I’d like to see Petra again.
Earth Wind and Fire put on a great show too.
Chicago
The Doors.
Good choice, saw them at a small venue.
I do have to add that me and my two friends were probably the only three white guys in the Atlanta Omni Arena at the time. But everyone was focused on the music, so it was all good. I dont recall if it was from Henning or Copperfield, but EWF had incorporated magic into the act, and they would make singers and performers disappear from the stage in the middle of a song, and they would reappear on a platform over head the arena to be lowered back to the stage still playing/singing/jamming, and never miss a note.
The Drifters
Just go to the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival:
Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who, Ravi Shankar, Otis Redding, Jefferson Airplane (Grace Slick), Grateful Dead, Big Brother and the Holding Company (Janis Joplin), Eric Burdon and the Animals, Laura Nyro, The Mamas & the Papas
I went and it was just something else. Sorry you all couldn’t attend
Janis with Big Brother and the Holding Company in their glory days.
Glen Miller or Tommy Dorsey.
Skynrd, AC/DC, Van Halen (with Sammy)
Oh yeah that’s a good one too.
