You can put something on glass windows to prevent birds from slamming into them. Anything - picture, sticker, something - then they see something that breaks up the reflection. We’ve had birds kill themselves that way and we felt so awful. We hang things in the window that seem to be the reflective ones that trick them.

Had that problem years ago when living in Grants Pass. Found a black cutout shaped like a hawk, taped it to the inside of the window, problem solved.

Think I bought it at Chets but they have closed down a few years ago.

Last spring we had a red tail hawk in the neighborhood that perfected driving smaller birds into windows. It would kill/stun the bird and then the hawk would snatch it from next to the house and take it to the orchard for a quick snack. He knocked it off after the trees got leaves.

If it’s reflective, wouldn’t they swerve to miss the other bird?
