I woke up with a sore neck and a headache this morning. The headache is from the 6 pack of “Tap Out” strong ale I drank last night. The sore neck is from arthritis.
Other than that, I haven’t gotten a flu shot vaccine in 4 years and other than about two cases of sniffles I haven’t been ill in those 4 years.
During this entire Covid thing, I’ve been dealing with the public in my essential job.
A month after my last flu shot 4 years ago, I got influenza A and was sick for a month.
You might be in same sho0es as me. I was unknowingly infected with covid on a cruise ending on February 29th, 2020. I had dry cough for 2 weeks and some loss of smell and taste. At that time covid was not much in news so thought nothing of it. But I may have acquired immunity from the mild infection.
Since return from the cruise I have made at least 300 visits to stores, hospitals, Gym, restaurants, etc. and never even got a cold. You may have also unknowingly acquired a asymptomatic infection somewhere and acquired natural immunity.
Similarly I drove without car insurance until age 26 when rates were more reasonable. Never got into an accident so insurance was not needed, right?
I think this year I will skip my home insurance. No one smokes in this house and chance of fire is very small. Yeah insurance is scam. Insurance companies are very rich. I might skip health insurance as well next year. I feel just fine right now. Don’t need no stinking insurance. I would have skipped the covid vaccine as well, except my spouse is fighting stage-4 cancer & her immune system is compromised. I do not want to chance catching covid-19 and pass it on to her. I will survive just fine from attack of covid but she will not.
