QAnon took the form of Apocalypticism....meaning that it forecasted a rendition of ‘the end of the world’ or the ‘arrival of the annotated one’.
They used the 4Chan folks as simply a introduction stage. Beyond that...people were just naive enough to WANT to believe in something...whether it was true or not.
They rode this all the way from 2016 to 2021. It wouldn’t surprise me if these were retired members of the CIA, or some college geek club behind it.
You mean like the quantum financial system? Which some FReepers seem to believe was provided to us by the Galactics - benevolent extraterrestrials?
Latest rumor is that President Trump recently flew to Switzerland to sign agreements on behalf of the US related to the quantum financial system.
I don’t doubt that some people believe those things.
And there are also some FReepers that are nothing more than trolling hacks who post those things. Lots of general, vague references to what they claim as fact, and little in the way of references. In other words - lots of ‘jackassin.
Interesting take. I know there are many people who genuinely believe the Q phenomenon is real, and don’t have a beef with them. I’m agnostic on the subject. But, as others here have noted, the farcical “QAnon threat” serves as a very useful bogeyman to distract the gullible masses from the government’s manifest failures.
