It’s Baltimore. I’m willing to bet at least half of the admin at the school and district level are diversity hires.

After HS I attend a community college for 2 years. The college had the right program and transfer agreements with several 4 year schools that I was interested in. However, the were in a city with what is know to be a bad public school system.

Their English 101 course was honestly at a 10 or 11th grade “College” not “Honors” HS level. Myself and several other students who attended suburban HS spoke with the professor and dept chair. After explaining our concern, they ask where we wend to HS. We were all offered the chance to take the first major test and complete a few assignments early. If we passed we were offered eh chance to basically complete the class and required assignments/tests on our own and not have to attend.

They stated that a large number of “college” students form said city end up getting placed in what is essentially a 099 or 098 level course with no credit and what I would have had in 8th or 9th grade.

I simply cannot let those statements stand without clarification of their gravity.

You both stated the child is a “failure”.

I submit that he’s as much of a failure as a child who was subjected to child abuse, sexual or otherwise.

This child - just like the others - are “victims” and therefore severe ramifications should be in store for BOTH the mother and the school.
