As much as conservatives in America love capitalism, many U.S. capitalists sure seem to hate conservatives.
As much as conservatives in America love capitalism, many U.S. capitalists sure seem to hate conservatives — especially Christian conservatives. On virtually every issue important to conservatives of all stripes, large U.S. corporations ("Big Corp" for this column) stand opposed — almost unanimously! — to American conservatives.
In other words, to the detriment of America and the truth, Big Corp has gone "woke." Coca-Cola provides the most recent and egregious example of gross corporate wokeness. According to a whistleblower, Coca-Cola is forcing its employees to complete online training that instructs them on "What It Means to Be White" and how to "try and be less white."
This racist training declares:
To be less white is to:
be less oppressive
be less arrogant
be less certain
be less defensive
be less ignorant
be more humble
listen
believe
break with apathy
break with white solidarity ...
No doubt this garbage is directly the result of Coca-Cola bowing to the evil efforts of the "woke" army of Black Lives Matter (BLM) and the like. As Al Perrotta recently put it, "of course, it's doubtful anybody with any brains in Coca-Cola's leadership really believes such racist, divisive gibberish. But they do believe the Woke Warriors won't let them rest until they push this poison onto their employees."

Imagine asking a black american to be less black. How would that go over?
“All these corporate donations to and affirmation of the BLM movement are simply replacing those that used to go to Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow/Push organization.”
I agree. One of the most hilarious attempted shakedowns occurred when Jessie Jackson showed up to protest the Bush Brewery corporation in Tampa, where I grew up. (If I recall, this was in the early seventies. So, what is about to be revealed was, at the time, really shocking.)
The protests went on for several days and was dutifully covered by the media. When the stink was at its highest, the Bush Brewery Corporation sent out their executive vice president of the company to speak to the media and address Jackson and his mob. He was spectacularly black. Obviously articulate and smart, he slapped down Jackson so that Jackson and his traveling lynch mob left in embarrassment. Turns out he had started at the lowest position in the corporation at some menial job way back in the sixties. But he was smart and they saw how smart and he rapidly moved up, saving them money everywhere they put him. So, at that point he was directing all Bush operations. Color was not a consideration.
I was in high school watching this on the news. As the VP spoke, the camera paned to Jackson and you could see the “oh, $hit” expression on his face. I laughed out loud.
My guess is that Jackson then hired someone to do some serious intel work on his victims so that such a humiliating defeat did not occur again.
Apparently they didn’t notice what happened when Goya ignored the Left’s bigotry. Goya sales increased a thousand per cent.
Never again.
Apparently, I am TOO WHITE to buy even ONE more Coca Cola product EVER again.
I just avoid all national brands as much as possible.
They fund the LEFTIST media with advertising
They support this “woke” nonsense
Go local/generic as much as possible
Buycott the companies who stand up to this nonsense
I understand Ralph Northam and Justine Trudeau are going to help Woke Coke achieve their less white goals. /sarc
All these corporations have this “protection money” already baked into their budgets...and since it is already budgeted, it becomes just a matter of WHERE to spend it.
That leaves the problem of “labeling”. If a logo is portrayed as WOKE......well, no problem there. If however a logo is seen as portraying RACISM...well, we can’t have that.
As to the black gentleman you mentioned, he may very well have been a good, productive employee. But somewhere above him was a “rabbi” who pushed for his rise in the corp. After all, he filled ALL the requirements of the day. Remember, you said this was in the early 70s. You may have only been in high school at the time, but I was out working in the company (ATT) that fully aquiesced and gave credence to the Nixon DOJ policy of the EEOC.
Thats what Tyrus said on Greg Gutfeld yesterday. He had them all laughing including Bushie appologist Dana Perino.
At thend I should have added......”EEOC and Afirmative Action”
Coke has been on my ban list since they were teaching the world to sing. Not in this house.
Yes, anytime you ban a company, you have to research what other brands they own.
Minute Maid is owned by Coca Cola. I wrote them off when they hired Anita Bryant. Besides, why pay so much for the label?
According to a whistleblower, Coca-Cola is forcing its employees to complete online training that instructs them on "What It Means to Be White" and how to "try and be less white."
I sold my stock, dumped 2 bottles down the drain and shall never by a coke product again. Money talks.
I can’t even boycott the nasty stuff as I never drink it.
I drink 7up made by Dr. Pepper. The HQ is in TX, but it is now made in St. Louis.
Pepsi is right up there with Coke with their anti normal people push. Next time, try the cheaper and likely less woke store brand.
That said, they kicked the caffeine free store brand off my order last week so guess she was lucky to get Pepsi. Everything, even the most basic items, are out of stock.
I will not buy that product again.
“I wrote them off when they hired Anita Bryant.”
Short question; why? She was a Christian activist.
Christian or not, she was nutso.
Uhh, not quite. Many corporations are now “led” by wokies — see Chick-fil-a. At their inception they endorsed American and Christian values. Then, the founders stepped aside and wokies stepped in. They promptly dropped all religious donations and enriched outfits like Covenant House — which used the money to put on kiddy outreach “grooming sessions” by transgenders and cross dressers. I wrote them, C-F-A, and they replied that this was the way they had chosen to go to “promote inclusion, diversity, and fairness.” My reply was that my family was no longer a customer.
As to Coke, the same applies. It is not pursuit of money, it is ideology. And, that is right at the top.
I only know of one company that told such TWOT’s to go pound sand: Red Bull — they fired them.
Just walk away. Starve the beast by taking your money elsewhere. And, it doesn’t hurt to drop them a message to that effect. And, by the way, Coke owns Sprite, too.
