I’ve looked into Rods from God before, and as far as I could tell, the content on Youtube portrayed RFG as experimental technology that was not deemed the best use of energy-to-weapons technology just based on the physics involved. It seems that lasers are more efficient, powerful, predictable. The RFG trajectory was influenced by atmosphere so targeting was a problem.
