its = the personal pronoun, 3rd person, singular, neuter
Examples:
It’s time to review grammar.
(It is time to review grammar.)
The class has lost its memory of grammar rules.
(The class has lost the class’s memory of grammar rules.)
Would not the last line be:
“The Class has lost the Class’ memory of grammar rules”?
