I am skeptical of that. This is a NY state school. The school has the deep pockets of the state to defend itself. And these are NY judges and juries.

I doubt he has the financial resources to retain a lawyer. They aren't doing it for nothing. What lawyer is going to take the case for a man that probably has no money after just the retainer? The on going legal costs will be significant even if the case is successfully concluded.
This is how liberal governmental institutions squash individuals. Bottomless pockets and a bevy of lawyers.
