Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who just weeks ago excoriated former President Trump on the Senate floor, blaming him for the riot at the Capitol, on Thursday said he would back Trump if he wins the party's 2024 presidential nomination.

I take that as more of a “over my dead body” or “for all the difference it will make” type of answer.
McConnell is a worm.
McConnell will decide what he will do in 2024 based on the politics at that time and his own goals at that time. Anything he is saying about 2024 today is just noise to placate the sheep.

The swamp really hate Trump, but for once one of out politicians fights back when insulted and the swamp really doesn’t know how to handle that. If some of these things had been done back in Andrew Jackson’s day he would have challenged them to a duel.

If Trump runs he will win, given States get a handle on their voter rolls.
And massive mail in votes are not allowed.
And when he wins he will do a much better job surrounding himself
with better staff and appointments. He will not play nice with

McConnell is a worm. If he really believes the things he said about Trump just a few weeks ago, how can he possibly back him for another presidential run? Answer: he’s seen the writing on the wall, he realizes this is now Trump’s party, and the back-pedaling begins.
Dream on. China Mitch is just playing the usual beltway two step. He wants Trump’s support in 2022 for his RINOs. He’s trying to paint Trump as disloyal to the party and peel away some support from him.
Agree. He’s afraid of being primaried with 45’s blessing.
As McConnell grasps and struggles for his own political power, the nation grasps and struggles for it’s very existence as a free nation because of his TREACHERY!
McConnell says he will back Trump if Trump becomes the nominee.
What he did NOT say is that he will help Trump become the nominee. He will miss no opportunity to stab Trump in the back during that period when the nominee is being selected.
As long as McConnell and Pelosi are in congress, we will have more of what we have now.

People who vote for politicians like McConnell have a lot in common with abused spouses. They will continue to support him no matter how many times he lies to them.

McConnell sold out the USA, and ANY party that
supports him, let alone tries to let him lead like the
lying, yellow, Communist GOP, is an ENEMY of America.
It’s too late for McConnell to backpedal. He cut his own throat when he acknowledged Biden as President the day after the election while ignoring election fraud. Trump will never accept him as a Republican colleague in any form.
It’s almost like he’s trying to make Biden look coherent.
But it doesn’t matter, anyway, at this point. A lot of us did appreciate him getting Trump’s judges through (although the Left managed to poison many of them anyway), but, at this point conservatives don’t take him seriously, and I’m not even sure if he takes himself seriously considering the way he’s talking out of both sides of his mouth.
Exactly. McConnell will do everything in his power to make sure Trump is not the nominee. He thinks no one sees thru his lies.
