Since marijuana (apparently) smells like a skunk, why in the world would anyone smoke it? Skunks are so noxious. That smell makes me vomit.

Exactly!
Living in a rural area of East Texas know now for the past 30 years what a skunk smells like.
Go figure why indeed smoke skunk! ;)

Funny story about a skunk in the country.
While my sister and her hubby were having their home build on their 30 acres,they lived in a mobile home.
A skunk was nesting under their trailer.
My Brother in law had the worse idea to rid the skunk by poisoning it. The skunk went wild and sprayed the trailer before it's demise! ha! They all had to leave and stay awhile in the unfinsidhed house until the stench went away!
My Brother in law was born and raised country and a hunter too. But Bubba lost and the skunk had the last laugh! LOL!
