I think being in the right frame of mind is a key component to falling asleep to sounds.

My sleeping arrangements deteriorated once the heat kicked in and the mosquitoes began to hunt me at night.

I put up my tent base with a mesh top and sidewalls and brought out my inflatable mattress to sleep on, so I’m having to adjust to completely different bedding, making sound sleep elusive.

Last night I skipped dinner and had a few glasses of juice instead. That seemed to help things considerably, regarding my acid reflux.

Why sleep outside one might ask when there’s a luxuriously comfortable bed inside the guest room?

I’ve elected to sleep outside on the patio to give my brother a certain amount of space and privacy. I would add that he sleeps with the house shut up and it is way too stuffy for my taste, having lived outside on the trail while racking up 3,200 miles afoot.

I’ll give the meditation and relaxation medium another chance tonight, combining the technique with a couple of other measures in pursuit of a good night’s sleep.

Okay, this going w-a-y back, but might help with sleep. And way before my time. LOL The screen is dark-ish but it does have a flickering fireplace.
