In Canada we would fly up to be Girl Guides.

I remember my Mom, saving to get me a Brownie uniform and a Girl Guide uniform.

She was a widow at 28 with 4 children. Age 2, 4, 6, nd 8.

She sacrificed a lot for us and we were very appreciative for all she did and she went without so we could have things.

And to this day I have never had the urge to keep up with others, just happy with what I have.

One of life’s great lessons.

Bless you Mom.

Nancy Pelosi did not write any of the bills. Lawfare lawyers and K St. lobbyists write the bills. They were all ready to go when this Congress started.

I will never understand why every Republican operative did not do everything in their power to win one of those Senate seats in Georgia. Because of losing both of them we may lose our country.

Oh my goodness, sweetie. That is a wonderful and valuable thing to learn.....be happy with what you have. God bless your mother.

I remember the uniforms as well. The little ties around the neck. The Brownie pin that looked like some kind of elf or nymph. Kind of weird, when I think of it now lol.

Especially Perdue. He won that seat the first time, he was affected by the same fraud as Trump. He was up by a lot until they found all the ballots Wednesday morning.

Loeffler was a different story, because there were 21 candidates in that race - why they would hold a special election at the same time as the general was ridiculous.

I couldn’t remember the entire thing, but was thinking that a ‘brownie’ was a British thing. I was close.

A ‘brownie’ is a household spirit from Scottish folklore that is said to come out at night while the owners of the house are asleep and perform various chores and farming tasks. The human owners of the house must leave a bowl of milk or cream or some other offering for the brownie, usually by the hearth. Brownies are described as easily offended and will leave their homes forever if they feel they have been insulted or in any way taken advantage of. Brownies are characteristically mischievous and are often said to punish or pull pranks on lazy servants. If angered, they are sometimes said to turn malicious, like boggarts.

The Brownies in the Girl Guides are named after a short story by Juliana Horatia Ewing based on brownie folklore. The Brownies were originally called Rosebuds until the girls complained. LOL

I know I made it to Cadette; can’t remember for sure if I made it to Senior.

Is there no one loyal to President Trump?

There are still about 80 million of US loyal to President Trump.
And we have targets on our backs.

My goodness, Spirit! I was just looking up the weird little pin. I figured it was some weird little harmless looking demon lol. Thank goodness I no longer have it....the only lazy servant it would be pulling pranks on is me.

Thinking of Brownies....

Have you or your children read “The Spiderwick Chronicles?”

The 1st book, “The Field Guide.”

The Field Guide, the first book in the series, was published in May 2003. It opens in Maine, where nine-year-old identical twins Jared and Simon and their thirteen-year-old sister Mallory move into the decrepit Spiderwick Estate with their mother, Helen. On the first night, they discover a secret library on the second floor using a dumbwaiter. They later discover that the library connects to the rest of the house via a hidden door in a hall closet. A brownie named Thimbletack, who has lived in the house for years, becomes angry with the Grace children when they destroy his nest inside the walls, and Jared is blamed for the ensuing havoc wrought by the brownie in retaliation including assaults on Mallory, Simon, and the trashing of the kitchen. Following a clue in the form of a riddle-poem, Jared finds Arthur Spiderwick’s Field Guide to the Fantastical World Around You in a secret compartment in a trunk in the attic. The Field Guide is an old hand-written and illustrated book with information on different types of faeries in the surrounding forest. The novel ends as the Grace children make amends with Thimbletack by building him a new home out of an old birdhouse. Thimbletack then warns them that the book which they found is dangerous and was not meant to be in the hands of mortals.

Well, I think the brownie treated you right, as long as you bribed it sufficiently.

Kinda like little kids, now that I think about it. LOL

To: Lakeside Granny; All

Thank you all very much.
Their two children will come up next week to stay with my Daughter at the Hotel and hopefully they all will go home together in about 10 days.
Praying for them to be together soon.
Ryan is an exceptional young man to be so optimistic.
Great joy to be with such strength.
Thanks again for All your Prayers!
