Based on the abject idiocy that has passed for "foreign policy" in the U.S. over the last 50 years, I don't see how any of this is a problem.

No offense to anyone here on FR with a military background, but I think you'd have to be certifiably nuts to join the U.S. military today.

Let’s think about that for a minute; more over, let’s think about this strategically for the long term...

Those of us more seasoned that others would of course never be considered or would be considered for military service, but to be blunt, our side may need some inside sources down the road; now and long after we’re gone.
