Allow recruits to sign up for the optional 8 week fat camp before boot camp.

Two months of proper diet and exercise can drop 30-40 pounds off anyone.

Put ‘em all on digital heart monitors, assign HR Zone goals and durations. Staff with knowledgeable trainers.

And your digital tag says what you can eat. And it’s all protein, fat and salad. There are no candy bars or chips in fat camp, no mashed potatoes. No rice. No bread.

6 months and you can slice 100lbs off anyone carrying 100lbs of fat.

I told all three of my sons I don’t recommend the military. One came this close to going to Annapolis then changed his mind. I did not pressure them hard just told them my opinion and told them I’d support them if they went in anyway.

My reason: the homosexualizarion of the military. Further, the fact that America has elected some anti American presidents who you can not trust as commander in chief.

I agree. My father served in the Army back in the 60s and really tried to steer my 19 year old in that direction. Until a recently retired career officer told him how incredibly “woke” everything had become. I know several young men (all private school educated, high school athletes, good kids from good families) who have been turned off from military service because of this.

Poor and lower middle class people tend to be obese. Upper middle class and wealthy people are tend to be thin, fit and health conscious.

As the military becomes more tech concious and less reliance on infantry the military ranks will become more wealthy and educated among the ranks.

....sadly, I agree with your opening observations. I wonder how many transgenders there are in China’s military forces, or how many mandatory seminars their troops have to attend regarding intersectionality (I’m still not sure what that means...), or how many warnings about being aware of the vast number of domestic terrorists and supremacists there are in their ranks...?
