Oh. . .and why would anyone feel that a US Senator with no power or authority over the state government would do anything other than get in the way.
I despise Robert for his political posturing and would also despise if Cruz did the same.
I suspect most whining over Cruz and his 24-hr trip are jealous and demand he suffer as much as everyone else.
Does anyone on the left or media understand how federalism works, why we have state and local governments?
The dems and media blur the lines between the federal government to play into the grubby hands of dems and media. Convincing the sheep that the federal government runs all-—they don’t-—then when something happens that falls clearly within the purview of state government, the sheep cry that anyone in the federal government must do something, and if not doing anything like they are “expected” to, they should at least look like they are doing something.
Federal government/reps/senators just get in the way as they play politics.
But. . .the left and media like political smoke and mirrors and that isn’t helpful.
If the state needs federal help, they can ask for it. Until then, federal agencies, government, politicians stay out.
Whatever you think.
“If the state needs federal help, they can ask for it. Until then, federal agencies, government, politicians stay out.”
You keep making the point that Cruz should have stayed away from this issue.
Funny. Ted himself thinks otherwise:
“My staff and I are in constant communication with state and local leaders to get to the bottom of what happened in Texas,” he said in a statement on Thursday, referring to the power outages and, in some cases, loss of water.
