Yes, I heard reports of charcoal BBQ grills in homes and garages. I grill exclusively with charcoal and would never do such a thing. I actually wish I had stocked up on charcoal before “the big freeze”, but I was not expecting to lose power for 24 hours. Didn’t really matter. My wife and I had lunch and dinner at some friends’ house while our power was out.
We put firewood in the BBQ pit and cooked all the meat in the freezer. Also made coffee and hot chocolate.
The only thing that sucks is that I couldn’t have any music since I had no batteries for any of my radios.
