CANNING SLIDE:

I know you’re not supposed to reuse lids, but I do for short term (less than a year) with paraffin wax. You can peel off the old rubber on the lid and replace with paraffin.

Interesting approach. I have used paraffin to put on top of jelly-about 1/4 inch, and then put the old clean lids on.
