We were the last plane out of O-Hare before they shut the airport down. Spent a week in the sun and could not believe the amount of snow that had piled up while we were gone......

The company I’m working for has some politically correct type sending out election alerts and such ... thinking they’re so well informed but all they really know is propaganda... I’ve been tempted to reply and correct at times but restrain myself and just try to stay under the radar when discussions arise as you’ve encountered lol

My sister and family didn't make it out, and were given 1 (count them.... one) night in a hotel. We ended up fetching them in our VW Rabbit. 4 adults, 4 kids, 1 snow shovel and 5 suitcases through 3 feet of snow. I miss that car.

canning jars were not to be found last year, even in the thrift stores (if they were open). Had to resort to dehydrating.

I want to make it into a huge sign and put on the front fence, and maybe a huge sticker thing and put on the truck and van.
Since the fireplace with the insert keep the living room at 80 degrees or more, I don’t think a tent is needed if we decided to sleep there.
And the bedrooms are cooler, which is the way we like it for sleeping.
The Soetoro years were a prolonged dark winter (no rasssisss) for the country. Joe longs for the bad old days.
