the problem with grapefruit is, grapefruit interfers with several medications, affecting metabolism and ability to clear drugs from the body:

I have been drinking real (quality) tonic water (with some gin or vodka) to ward off the flu during the winter for years (it works). I also have a complete vitiman, anti-inflamatory an anti-oxidant program....Have not been sick in years. I am 60+.
Meanwhile my neighbors/relatives get the flu 2x a year, they got covid, etc.

Get Quinine (HCQ) from Grapefruit...

One of my daily medications says never to have grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking it. I miss it.
