The government has done this for machine guns and sawed off rifles since 1934. But I have read that if you die you cannot pass along your registered machine gun to your kin. It is confiscated.

Same will happen for your now registered rifles.

That is their current plan.

They intend to take our rifles from our cold dead hands, but not necessarily by force.

Well, there’s always the threat of force, but the enemy has been playing the long game for decades now. Their biggest mistake, from their perspective, would be to over-reach, to satisfy their screeching constituents demanding to be disarmed, locked up, and bankrupted. It’s possible, if not probable, that enough normies will wake up and just say “hell no”.

Not holding my breath.

No, they get bought and sold all the time. No more new ones can be registered since 1986, though.
