The Dem House managers and their media have got to stop saying this was a “bipartisan vote”, it was NOT.
A Bipartisan vote is when you have both parties voting on either side of the issue, this did not have that.
It’s like how Dems use the word compromise. To them, compromise is when 100% of the Dems vote the same way and a few Republicans buckle under and vote with them.
The PBS reference and the ‘coming together’ appeal to the viewers in the middle. This is very important. He was spot on. By doing so, he got through to 70% rather than 50%. Very smart, Trump-like.

I see socialism as evil - but weirdly - I have to put some of the sincere, straightforward socialists on PBS in a different class from the lying scumbags in the fake news who are paid propagandists and have no problem gaslighting the American people, destroying people with scandals they know are fake - and stealing elections.
Yes, socialism is evil, but as long as the misguided leftists who lean toward socialism are fair and honest, we can debate it and settle the matter according to the Constitution.
I think Van der Beer was lamenting about the dishonesty and hypocrisy of today’s crop of socialists - who are impossible to peacefully co-exist with - not the misguided leftists who disagree - but are honest about it and respect the Constitution.
I am not defending socialism - it is inherently evil - I’m just saying there is room for vast disagreement in a peaceful society, but only if there is honesty.
It is the dishonesty on the LEFT that is ruining everything, not the policy differences. I think that is what Van der beer was angry about - and why his anger is so refreshing to see. That is exactly what we all should be angry about.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed the smackdown it really just emphasizes the total mess we’re in. Yes, the house managers should be prosecuted, but there is no chance that’s going to happen. Then you have 14% of republican who voted for this sham. If it was 14% of the total that would be bad enough, but it was 100% of the democrats. Think that over, 100% of the “most respected” people in politics voted in favor of an unconstitutional proceeding, voted to convict knowing doctored evidence had been presented. Remember most are lawyers and they know that alone would get a normal case thrown out of court. The constitution/rule of law means nothing to them.
