This woke crap is going to nothing more than get people killed. Life at sea is harsh enough already...taking invaluable time away from training for war will make sailors, and the military in general, less ready for war when it comes.
Oh...and a lot of good people won’t tolerate this nonsense and leave the service, further concentrating the stupid.
As I was scrolling down, the word that came to my mind was indeed yours, “sickening”. However, there’s no telling how assiduously all of what’s delineated here will actually be implemented. Or HOW it will be implemented. On one level all this moral scolding and official virtue-signalling could be something the average sailor could tell himself he already does, on another level ALL members of the rank and file Armed Services are in the worst position possible. ALREADY in a hierarchy which USED to be an opportunity to prove excellence and commitment now is being twisted into something else. And what more captive an audience could there be than the rank and file/ All this “vetting” to weed out any possible difference of opinion politically is possibly the scariest development and tendency of ALL I have seen proposed.These men are being told that their having a job at all (in an economy which may not get on its feet ever, with Dems in power) depends entirely on toeing the New Army’s line. And it’s entirely political, it has nothing to do with violating any traditional Military rules.

I spent 20 years in the Navy from 78-98. Affirmative Action for black African Americans, and a few years later females, was going full speed ahead the whole time I was in. It’s never enough. After 40 years they are still not satisfied.
