I have a question: what’s a good way to get rid of weed seeds in soil?

I have a number of small gardens around my house, and I’m hoping to sell it some time this year, so I want to rehabilitate all these gardens that have gone to pot, so the house will look good. However, when I plant my various flowers, I don’t want all sorts of ugly crab grass, dandelions and so on sprouting all around them.

Any help will be great!

There is a granular product called Preen, which is really just Corn Gluten. You can also find bags of Corn Gluten at a feed store or Farm store.

Corn Gluten will stop the ANNUAL weed seeds from germinating, but doesn’t effect PERENNIAL weeds, which you will need to dig out by hand, or selectively blast with an herbicide.

If anyone solves this common problem, they will own the world!
