They can go back to importing from the EU like they already do. This is a Foreign Country trial balloon, when it is finished then the BS here will use it as a rubber stamp to allow suits here in the USA.
I would counter the canadian suit with a counter suit claiming that every canadian made vehicle on the roads in the USA that has had an accident now enjoins Canada et. al. for reparations as the canadians had not placed safety devices into cars that prevented accidents by drivers.
And to be fair, by drivers either certified to drive the vehicle or uncertified, its all Canadas fault for letting those vehicles into our country.

To clarify, issue the recall for all Canadian SW firearms - citing the safety aspect.
Canadian gummint will be appeased and likely end the court action.
Then destroy them and shutter business...never giving back the guns.
Canadians will then find out what gun control REALLY means.
