I don't think we have seen more than a few flakes in the past ten years. Not even enough to coat the ground.
Saint Marys is all the way in the southeast corner of Georgia. We are as far as you can get from Atlanta and stay in the state and we like it that way.

I can not recall the exact date-I think it was early 80s. It was only a few inches and it made the national news due to all the cars and total blockage of the internet highways.
Since I regularly drove in 6-8 inches of snow and often more, it gave us all a bunch of laughs. The switch from a rear-wheel drive to front-wheel helped a lot-but wasn’t nearly as challenging. Ha.
