Boiled, fried, scrambled or in an omelette, whole eggs pose a threat to health and eating more of them increases your risk of death, a study claims.
Researchers found eating just half a whole egg — which includes the yolk and the white — increases the likelihood of dying by seven per cent.
Risk of death increases by a further seven per cent for every half an egg on top of this, so a person eating one egg a day has at 14 per cent greater chance of death than someone who avoids the food.
Chinese researchers who led the study believe high fat and cholesterol levels in eggs are to blame.
They warned that people should use only the whites or switch to healthier egg substitutes, which lower the risk of dying.
Substituting an equivalent amount of nuts or legumes for half a whole egg reduced death rates by up to a third. Poultry, dish or dairy products had a similar effect.

Read the article. This is propoganda directly from the Chinese Communist Party to push egg substitutes and other forms of powdered eggs on their happless peons. If you eat just half a real egg from the farmers market a day you will probably die. Where have we heard that type of nonsense before? If you drive half a mile in your SUV a day... all of us are going to die from global warming.
What a great movie, but so sad at the end.
Disco dancing leads to uncontrolled hair growth....
I eat 5 - 6 eggs per week. Pasture Raised, so they are really nice, definitely good for me.
Gluten free diet. When I stopped eating wheat, my LDL dropped dramatically.
“Had several aunts who ate fried eggs with BACON, for breakfast, EVERY morning.....and, all lived well into their 90s.”
OMG, had they not eaten eggs they’d have lived to be 150!!
Man! I thought it would be quinoa, kale, and almond milk!
I had nothing against kale until they started all this super food nonsense, its just greens people!
61y/o Pulse 50 BP 120/80 (averages) 6’4” 225 lb (on my way to 195) lift, sprint, volleyball, hike, yoga, and meditate. Jog 75 minutes every other day, daily hugs galore within the family, cocktails with the missus every evening before bedtime. Blood work is so-so - but those assessments ("Your cholesterol values are a bit too high... You'd better cut down on eggs.") are about as bogus as the bald-faced lies appearing in this article.
But I will pass this article on to my 100% Scandinavian, 99-year-old mother - she'll probably get a kick out of it!
Regards,
Egg’s are good. Egg’s are bad.I wish these worthless studies would be confirmed once and for all.
Until that time comes I’m going to continue eating by omelets.
As far as I know, of the billions of people born before 1900, all of them died, whether they ate eggs or not, except for Enoch and Elijah.
Everything is bad for you.
About the only way I do not enjoy eggs is hard boiled, deviled eggs being the exception.
I could murder a plate of deviled eggs.
Somehow I think you and I will be okay.
Keep up the good work.
I guess I am safe..since I eat 2 or 3 eggs a day?
Tofu shrinks your pee pee.
Democrats must be back in office.
You are a dead man!
Lewis Grizzard used to do a hilarious bit on this nonsense in the 70’s.
Alas he died a young man..
I stick with what works for me: meat & water only!
