LOL yeah, I could have predicted as much. I watched the game, I watched both championship games. So sue me. I literally turned the game on as the kickoff was in the air, didn't listen to any commercials and dutifully avoided halftime. The virtue signaling that went here (i.e. "What's an NFL?" or " There was a game yesterday") was hoot to read all season. They provided me with a weekly chuckle. For all the bluster here, the ratings were only down 7-8% and even that is unimportant given the current business model the NFL has these days
Critics have been saying that for the last few years........LOL!
Nuff said
Nope: Watched The Oklahoman on Grit.
Enjoyed the threads here for laughs. Such as
“It (the game) was a disaster”
Sue is a monster whose style of play would have fit in well with the greats such as Dobler, Karas, Butkus and the other all time greats and nobody would have said a word..........LOL!
Glad to finally see a Lion great play for a team that cares about winning.......
Brady was good, but he didn’t win the game himself. The TB defense deserves the credit for the win!
couldn’t get the breaks on a lot of the passes- they got batted down
26 of 49 is not a very good stat.........
21 of 29 for three touchdowns is.....
Then white liberal 'elites' called OUR protest violent when 99% of the folks in DC were peaceful... and the 'violent ones' (which is wrong for both sides) broke ONE window and damaged one door. And the violent part of that protest was over in less than two hours. So... No I do not want to 'unite' with vile white liberal 'elites'... they can 'unite' with each other. Or their pet victim groups or new illegals they'll be flooding the country with... Just leave us out of the fantasy. We're NOT part of that and hopefully never will be again. Play the damn game and leave us alone.
Sad if the watchers of the game get caught with their half full.
Sad if the watchers of the game get caught with their lamps half full.
Most of the commercials were insulting.
I’m not sure why gay white liberal ‘elites’ who hate traditional Americans can’t do commercials we’d enjoy... /s
It’s a mystery.
(That said I enjoyed the M&M commercial most - hated the BS ‘unity’ ones...) I mean do the ‘elites’ think we’re stupid? Beat us up for four years then say, ‘Let’s work together?” No way. Never.
Good observation...me too.
Boy, the last year has sucked, but as in all things like this, it could have always been even worse.
Do watchers now have their lamps half full?
They couldn't find a single Caucasian violin player??
Probably will be saying the same about Stafford next season, apparently he's recruiting guys to come to LA to play for him.
It was a very, very different game back then. What players were allowed to do to other players, especially quarterbacks, was astonishing.
One thing that most people don’t get about Joe Namath was what a great athlete he was until his knees became broken, but even more, how tough he was.
He took a lot of hits and cheap shots, and there was one particularly nasty one by Raiders DE Ben Davidson that broke Namath’s jaw. I remember another one where Namath was on his knees after a play, blood flowing down his face from a dirty hit.
He certainly was the prototypical playboy batchelor quarterback. There were some before him like Sonny Jurgenson who had that reputation, but Namath was on a different planet there.
Most fans don’t know how tough Tom Brady is. He is tough as nails. I saw a game against Buffalo one time when he got hit running with the ball, and went for the extra needed yard leaving himself wide open, and his helmet ended up 20 yards down the field.
I hope so, he deserves it. Barry Sanders comes to mind also, he gave the Lions all he had and they never gave a rat's about giving him a winning team.
With four years left on his contract, he would likely be the greatest running back of all time in rushing yards. I feel he is the greatest........
Poor Jared Goff, LOL, from the Penthouse to the Outhouse.
Of course, there is this one from the Buffalo fans who hate him, which I found hilarious:
I don’t object to others watching, it is a personal decision. I can’t.
And I do miss it. But that is life.
