As for tomorrow, having decided that the _text_ of the Constitution was malleable to favor the prosecution, I would concede the argument of a bill of attainder as moot. Again, they are Humpty-Dumpty lawyers and I would specifically, from the Floor, make sure that all of America (at least those watching) understood that the House Managers see the Constitution as their own Cyreno DeBegerac and impeachment is Roxanne. But, they won’t conceded because EVERY point in the article must be defensed on behalf of Trump. Like today, they won’t put up much of a fight because the outcome is already known.

I think that if we FReepers were true opposition right now we might be hollering to the hill tops that for months the Speaker of the House held up CoViD relief for hurting people to spite Prez Donald Trump; now the Senate is holding up CoViD relief to further spite ex-President Trump by 'impeaching' him. WHEN will citizens hurt by the CoViD lockdowns finally receive some relief?

We might be shouting that. But the present Repubs cum Whigs are in bed with the 'rats, so the public will just have to do without a while longer, never being told how they are pawns in a pointless political chess game - AND that the pawns are actually the other player!
