Since Biden is shutting down our energy production and we won’t be exporting as much, prices, plus Trump not pointing out the hypocrisy of Germany buying from Russia while expecting US to protect them from Russia, most likely made it feasible for Russia to resume construction.

Trump instituted sanctions; I don’t know what he said in negotiations with Germany so I haven’t reached the opinion that he made it “feasible” for Russia to resume construction.
Biden can say he’s shutting it down, but I don’t think Biden will be President once the Constitutional dust settles. In the Constitutional dust storm - it seems German mice are playing while the cat’s away.
I just recall Trump talking about Germany not wanting to pay their share of protection against Russia, yet they are Russia’s best customer.
At NATO, Trump says Germany is ‘totally controlled by Russia’
BRUSSELS — President Trump kicked off his visit to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit here Wednesday with fiery words for members states of the military alliance and a direct attack on Germany for a Russian energy pipeline project the country’s companies and leaders have supported.
At a breakfast with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Trump complained that American taxpayers were not getting their fair share out of NATO and said Germany was “totally controlled” by Russia because much of its energy in the future may come from a pipeline called Nord Stream 2, which would bring Russian natural gas across the Baltic Sea.

Bingo!
I think the headline was disingenuous. Biden canceled the pipeline and cost jobs. Russians decided to defy him and gained their people some jobs. It’s an ugly illustration but I think ultimately apples and oranges. The Keystone kibosh is a favoring of rail transportation over pipeline transport.
