It’s just “unconventional” to see a Union punk like Trumka defend workers who lost a job.
He has no reason to defend non-members.
It always got me in trouble with my “shop-buddies” when they got laid off but continued paying dues so they could get into the union hall and read the “No Jobs Today” poster.
I’d ask them, “How’s that union membership working out for you now?”
Funny thing is my old Comm Workers Union (CWA) shirts said “Keep America Working” on the back. Yeah even if you didn’t join the Union you still had to pay a “Fee” (dues). They just couldn’t keep those jobs in America. The Dems sold out the Unions long ago...
