That’s what I’ve always thought but sometimes I am very unclear about it. Never knew exactly what “delta” was, either short time, same time, 2 years apart, etc. Now it seems “any amount of time” difference.
Delta is simply the difference. I leave point A, arrive at point B some time later. The delta in terms of time is the difference between the time of departure from A and arrival at B.
It can also be any other measure. The Delta between A and B could be the mileage between the 2 points. Or even the difference in elevation. Simply put, the difference.

Any two measurements. If you compare going from 5 to 3 or if you go from 3 to 5, then delta is 2 in either case.
